To be honest extremely soar. She prodded me a good deal. The pain is kinda thriving but not bad as the other night. Oh I've been upping my potassium by eating peanuts and bananas. But still going to my pcp next week and also asking to get on Paxil. Do you think a pcp can write that?

I think they can but they may want to send you to physiatrist appointment first.. They will be able to help chose the right medicine

I should say I know they can, mine does.... But that's because I've been through all the therapy,

Physiatrist stuff ...

I have known PCPs to prescribe antidepressants without requiring psychotherapy or counseling...I think it depends on the reasons...I recall that when I first went on an antidepressant (I am on zoloft), my PCP would not prescribe it unless I was also seeing a therapist concurrently...hang in there, fyre

Not a huge fan if Paxil. Took it after third baby was born. Once on it, I gained over 100 lbs. it was difficult to wean off of as well. I recommend Viibryd. Works well with anxiety type issues. Wellbutrin is another good choice, with the least amount of side effects.

I like Zoloft especially if you have anxiety with depression

I'll second the pass on Paxil. I gained 30 lbs on it and demanded to be switched. I take lexapro now, although I've heard similar things about it.

Alright, enough is enough! If those doctors over there don't get this sorted soon, I am coming on over there and drag your arse back here to Australia and get this sorted. You tell them there's a big Aussie lady coming and I don't take any crap!

I may or may not have anxiety but since aussieladys dragging me to Australia and I hate flying I may need an anxiety one. Hmm I guess I'll read up on these pills. God why did it come to this?!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
