Toradol is a potent NSAID and although it is not absorbed in the stomach (I.e. injectable) it blocks prostaglandin synthesis which protect your stomach lining. This is the reason NSAIDs cause ulcers, not usually from the first pass through the stomach.

This is what the husband said anyway...

Ok will do. Should I go to a er?! And not urgent care?!

Go to the ER. Most urgent care facilities lack the more finite diagnostic equipment that a hospital has-the calf pain is concerning, and the UC doc will likely send you to the hospital anyway. Safe yourself the trouble.

I didn't tell him I'm here. I don't want to freak him out.

Calm and take a deep breathe... You need to relax so you can be specific and tell them where it hurts. When it started, wheat location, what makes it worse, all those things. If you have questions write them down, so u can ask the Md coz u might forget if you're panicking. Get well soon!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
