I am sure most of you ladies are wide calfed like me. ....I haven't been sleeved as of yet. I took the liberty to order some sexy boots off of a website and when I finally got em they didn't fit! I am so dissapointed but my question is...does your calves get smaller?? Help!

Yes, your calves should get smaller, but you might also lose a shoe size or 2. You probably should've waited on the sexy boots, but hopefully they'll fit great soon.

My calves are huge! Even the wide calfed boots are too small for me. I really hope I lose in my calves, but I'm sure they will always be bigger than I'd like. I am one week out and plan on taking my measurements monthly. I am most excited to measure my calves and thighs.

So funny. I noticed today that my shoes are too big! They fell off me today. Never thought my feet would lose weight.

Mine are 16in around and to big for most Normal boots. What is yours and what should it be to fit in normal boots

I think normal boots are 14' to 16' inches. Fiting into knee high boots is one of my goals.

I am the queen of wide calfs. Even wide calf boots aren't wide enough. My right calf (which strangely is slightly larger) was a whopping 23 inches at my biggest. I've lost 71lbs now and I'm already down 2 inches in my calves! So happy about this! Intact the only boots I have that had for me for a long time (from Torrid, with an elastic panel on them that I completely stretched out way beyond what I should have) those are really big on me now and fall down my leg! So you will definitely lose in your calf!

They definitely get smaller, mine used to be huge and I was never able to wear ugg boots or sexy boots but now I can wear anything that goes up my calves. I actually have a bunch of extra room in my boots now it's wonderful. I've also noticed that my feet are smaller now too. I went down a shoe size, never really thought I had fat feet but apparently I did.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
