fake posts/profiles.......could it be?

Ok...

Maybe im crazy...ive only been here a few weeks but in starting to catch on to some stuff. Are some of these post just to get business going??

You ALWAYS have to be aware of incognito advertising. I do not know for a fact that it goes on very much on this website or not, but lots of companies hire people to do nothing but make profiles on different sites around the internet indistinguishable from a real one, to say positive things about themselves. There is not usually anything site administrators can do about this because its hard to verify but there are some things you can look for to maybe be able to start to tell if this is going on or if you are suspicious of a particular post.

If a person is giving a RAVE review with litterally not a single critisism, and it doesn't seem balanced at all, that is something that MIGHT be a red flag that it COULD be someone working in that office trying to create some online hype. You have to be careful though, because thats not always the case, and a lot of bariatric patients have a tendency to be really hot or really cold so it might just be a patient who is "in love" (ie, FRESH post op, havent got their bill yet, havent had a lot of pain yet) so its something to consider.

Something else to think about is if someone is constantly relating posts back to a PRODUCT. Now, if someone is asking about Protein and someone tells them their favorite Protein that is reasonable, I am talking more about people who seem to go out of their way to mention a product when its somewhat off-topic or even completely out of left field.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
