sgreen 0 Posted November 8, 2006 I had a fill yesterday and went from being able to eat anything to not being able to keep my saliva down. I am wondering if anyone else has had this and it got better after a couple of day. I don't feel any pain or anything, just have to PB about every 45 minutes or so, just salivia. If I drink anything hot or cold, it comes back too.
Teresita 0 Posted November 8, 2006 You are too tight, call your doctor. How much do you have in your band and how much did you get?
lisah25 3 Posted November 8, 2006 I agree, you are too tight. I'd call your doctor. I was told that you should always be able to keep liquids down.
sgreen 0 Posted November 8, 2006 I was at 2 cc's and had NO restriction, now I am 2.5cc.
filledup 0 Posted November 8, 2006 I had a fill of 1.5cc and it seems like I can eat just as much. I tried eating chicken and it hurt so bad and then after about 5 minutes I threw it up. What should I be eating? after throwing up I ate soft meat, cottage cheese, Cereal, and never felt filled up. Shouldn't I feel filled?
Carol Conley 0 Posted November 8, 2006 I was told to have only liguids for 2 days after my fill. I had my Protein Drinks. I had the same experience you are having. I called the Dr. they told me to stay on liquids. Still salia and PB. History: I had 2 fills, 1.5cc, and 1cc. I have a 4cc lapband. I would slime everytime I tried to eat anything solid. I kept thinking it was my fault. I wasn't chewing long enough, etc. I really didn't want to have any of my "fill" removed because I thought I would quit losing weight. I waited 2 months eating only sugarfree icecream (for some reason I can always eat icecream: not a good idea) and Protein drinks. Finally I had .25cc removed and it was wonderful. That is such a tiny amount of Fluid. I was amazed even the next day I could eat REAL food again but not too much. You burn more calories digesting REAL FOOD than liquid (or icecream). I still feel restiction and have times when I PB or slime but it is ususally because I have eaten too fast or I have eaten too much. I was amazed at how having such a small amount removed could make so much difference! By the way, even sugar-free icecream is SATAN'S FOOD for me.
filledup 0 Posted November 8, 2006 Thanks for writing back! What is sliming? Is that when saliva just seems to fill up your mouth? And PB is productive burping? I have never had that but always get the hiccups along with the pain. What does it feel like to be full? How do you know? I want it to be like right after the surgery when I would feel totally full on just a tiny bit of soft food. Does this ever happen after more fills? Do I need more fills to get this feeling? Thanks for your help & info. I just had my surgery 6 weeks ago. Cherie
barbara465 2 Posted November 8, 2006 Hiccups are also a sign of being full. Stop eating when you get them. Everyone is different and some get full signals and others don't. I get a little twinge in my left shoulder. Tells me I should stop. Fills are different for everyone as well. I've had quite a few fills, but really don't get that full feeling. If I get overfilled I PB and slime (salivia can't swallow so it comes out like foam).
housecatgirl 0 Posted November 9, 2006 .5 can make you too tight. I had .3 and was too tight! Go back to your doc right away and get a small unfill. Don't wait too long or you will risk damaging you and your band.
