fancynancy 39 Posted January 25, 2013 Hi! I can't believe it! I have always been self- conscious about snoring! Have turned down girls weekend get-a-ways just because of that reason. Had sleep apnea and given a CPAP machine before surgery (don't like it). Before surgery, 322 lbs.. Down 30 lbs. Now, waking up with energy I have NEVER had before and NO MORE SNORING!! 2 ThikNjuCee and READY4CHANGE2013 reacted to this

NancyDec20 212 Posted January 25, 2013 I snored according to my husband but did not have sleep apnea.. but funny thing..right after the surgery before I lost any of the weight.. I stopped snoring.. just like that.. not sure why.. but it did stop and I have not started back either.. and im down 40lbs since then.. lol thats another reason I didnt want a hospital stay... didnt want to them to hear me snore.. but I didnt .. I had stopped.. its a miracle lol.
AmandaRaeLeo 2,146 Posted January 25, 2013 I lost 100 lbs on Weight Watchers and stopped snoring. I gained it all back with interest and now I use a CPAP. As much as I like the good sleep my CPAP gives me I'm looking forward to breaking up with it. :-D Amanda Rae

AmandaRaeLeo 2,146 Posted January 26, 2013 I'm 181 lbs and still have to use my Cpap <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Have you checked to see if you require lower pressure? That could be a sign of progress towards a CPAP "breakup". Amanda Rae
danyelleb 386 Posted January 26, 2013 Yay cpap breakups! Congrats on the absence of snoring. I was supposed to use a cpap. I could never get used to it, so it collected dust by my bed. I no longer snore after the weight loss, but I still will wake up tired or with headaches. Sent from my iPhone using VST
fancynancy 39 Posted January 26, 2013 Ya know, I don't even know if I still should be using the CPAP or not! Mine collects dust, too. All I know is, I am happy to not snore. My grandson says,, "Grandma is growling!" LOL!! Maybe he won't have to say that anymore!! :-)
