arthritis_me 12 Posted January 25, 2013 (from Wiki) Low and high Protein intake inhibit magnesium absorption. Magnesium calms your nerves by coating the receptors. It reduces pms, it's important for a healthy nervous system, cellular energy, hormone regulation and the relaxation and activation of muscle tissue and will prevent you from being restless throughout the night. When you lose weght you mess with hormones (releasing them when you burn fat), you increase cellular energy, gain muscle tissue if you're being active...no wonder why you're having issues. I expect the same very soon. Three quarters of all Americans eat a diet that is deficient in magnesium, according to a report published by the World Health Organization. Try it out, and I wish you speedy sweet dreams

KarissaKhaos 170 Posted January 25, 2013 Six months out here and I too have trouble sleeping, I won't fall asleep until almost 5/6am and end up sleeping until the afternoon. I just lay in bed all night tossing and turning.
