gonnabeaskinny 5 Posted January 24, 2013 Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum. I'm 25 and 5'2". I weight about 215 right now which is down from my heaviest at 229. I just recently decided I wanted to have the sleeve done and I'm so anxious! My insurance requires six months of meeting with doctors and planning exercise/diet bit then they pay for everything. I feel like it just can't happen fast enough. I can't help but think I'm getting my hopes up about being skinny again, like I am that person that isn't going to have success? gonnabeaskinny 5 Posted January 24, 2013 I think I have a sense of failure because I have tried so hard on my own with no success. It's hard to open a new door with a new attitude.
slojo 150 Posted January 24, 2013 I know. But it won't take long until you'll be really encouraged. It's a lot of work and a major change in your life (forever) but it is effective and permanent...
gonnabeaskinny 5 Posted January 24, 2013 My main hope is to be able to get pregnant a year or two after o get the weight off. I wonder how hard it is to get pregnancy weight off after the baby?
theshrinkingchef 61 Posted January 24, 2013 Your six months are going to go by faster than you know. I was glad I had to do a 3month weight loss. It really slowed me down and got me ready for this surgery. It gave me the opportunity to really absorb this decision and in fact I had switched from a lap bad to the sleeve. It's a big decision and I was glad to have the time. Now that I'm approved, I'm really excited and prepared! Good luck!
