KK66 61 Posted January 24, 2013 Hi Everyone, When I have done low carb in the past, I have a running list of things I buy to keep stocked up on for healthier eating: Berries Greek Yogurt Asparagus Tomatoes Avocados chicken Turkey Bacon Turkey Breast Laughing Cow cheese Ak Mak Crackers Citrus Fruits eggs Fish/Shellfish What are your staples? Have you had to omit healthy foods because of intolerance now? Would love to some new things to add to my list.
Nicolanz 1,484 Posted January 24, 2013 U don't really have any staples other than cheese and lunch meat. I love to cook and try new food. Still a foodie. I don't consider myself a low carber either. But asparagus might be tough on your tummy at first.

KK66 61 Posted January 24, 2013 I've been eating asparagus (I roast it in the oven with olive oil) and it's been okay so far. I have not really delved into salads yet..hear that its not tolerated well. I make a lot of Soups as well as stews.

theoldmusicbox 399 Posted January 28, 2013 One thing I haven't seen listed is PB2 - its powdered peanuts! It also comes in chocolate peanut! If you are a Peanut Butter lover, this is a lifesaver. You can add it to your Protein shakes for a Peanut Butter flavor. Or, you can mix it with Water or skim milk to make peanut butter. And it only has 45 calories for 2 tbs as opposed to 190-200 in the same amount of peanut butter.

I'd heard the expression here but didn't know what it was good for! Sounds....like a dream come true! Good for the mushy food stage 4?
