Same thing happened to me . I was on the ground at the grocery store and ambulance took me to the ER had all the tests done came back DEHYDARTION,you need 64 oz of Water a day ,I got a 20 oz bottle and drink 3 a daay. It gets boring so mix it up crystal light, Powerade, what ever keeps you going. Alcohol dehydrates your body ;) so limit that. Good luck hope it nothing serious

Potassium is a valid possibility. So is dehydration or Iron. Because we're trying to keep our stomachs less acidic than usual it makes it really hard for your body to absorb Iron.

If potassium, you may also notice twitching of the skin just underneath your eye. Potassium affects charge gradients across your cell membrane and, so is especially important for heart function so definitely get checked out. My fingers are crossed that its dehydration!

Yeah heart palpitations may also be a symptom. When you're at risk of being low in potassium it would be a good idea to cut down on salt. You'll restore a little balance if you lower your salt intake when you're low on potassium. So try to stay away from salty foods for at least a week :)

Hydration. I drank one 20 oz G2 a day for months after surgery. I think I have to start it back up. Also you could be hypoglycemic and that can cause the same issues.

Everything is fine , no dehydration or low levels .

I get the "about to faint" feeling, sometimes with the TV show vision, often. I had three bags of potassium put back in me after surgery (ouch!) too. I recently had all my Vitamin levels checked (1yr post surgery check in) and everything was fine except for the B12 which was too high, so I had to cut back.

For me, I think it's a blood pressure thing. I get it when I stand up quickly, especially from bending over. I've never linked it to hydration because I'm pretty consistent with fluids.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
