In Australia Biotene have a range of products which help with this. I used one of their products for a short while and it was great. If this isn't available in America I am sure there would something similar. My dry mouth resolved after a couple of weeks. Make sure you are not putting anything sweet in your Water as this can also cause a dry mouth. Good luck, I hope it goes away soon.

I had that and I started brushing my teeth/rinsing with mouthwash a bunch during the day and after a while of doing this it went away. Biotene can be found in most drugstores, it's specifically designed to help with dry mouth.

Good luck!

Then maybe you should call your doctor for an immediate answer since you can't be bothered with the banter a forum has.

I've read the other threads you've started. You didn't research, you jumped into this, you pushed your surgeon to advance you in more than one way. You want advice? Stop eating frozen meals like lean cuisine because they're packed full of sodium and can dehydrate you.

Here's some more, be lucky you can make so many mistakes and not suffer like some of us have even when we did everything right. I hope you don't ever have a leak, but your behaviors will lead you there.

Drink more Water, look up all your perscriptions for side effects, use biotene, watch the sodium intake, and watch your attitude around here. People aren't willing to help the ungrateful.

Alright girls break it up!

I would go to the pharmacy look for the biotene products and also ask the pharmacist...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
