Surprised

For the last two weeks ny scale hasn't budged, not even an ounce. I was eating less than 1000 calories a day. Today I had a little over 1000 and ended up losing a pound and a half. This doesn't make sense lol

Do you exercise? And are you eating the calories you burn? I'm having trouble with my scale too. And I eat 800-900 calories a day.

I have had those moments. Its so frustrating. When I went yesterday to the dr they said im notv eating enough. I am only getting between 4 to 500 calories a day. I never thought I would hear im not eating enough.

That is kind of my concern. I eat and then exercise, with the calories I burn I am only getting 200-300 calories.

The Np told me that puts your body in starvation mode and slows dow weightloss. I cant help it tho. Im petrified I will somehow fail!

Me too and I get conflicting info. My doctor says not to eat the calories back but the nutritionist says I should.

I have a 2 mo appt with my Dr in a week. I am going to ask him about the weight loss and daily calories consumed. This topic is very interesting to me and might help answer why I haven't lost the last couple weeks.

Yeah it's odd' date=' if I get over 1000 calories a day I'll drop weight, but if I eat less than 1000 my body holds onto the weight.[/quote']

That makes sense to me. Your body is comfortable losing with 1000 but when you eat less it thinks its starving and doesn't let go. I think that's good that you found your ideal caloric intake.

Hopefully I wont stall again anytime soon. Im a nurse so it really is hard to get more than 600 calories in a day

I know what you mean. I'm a CNA and every time I sat down to eat, a bell would go off and I was really busy.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
