Do I'm having my daughter on feb 26th and my son is 2 in July.

I will be getting sleeved the beginning of June.

Anyone else had small children after getting sleeved?

How much help should I expect (fiancé works 12 hour shifts nights and days).

Should he take time off to help with lifting them into bed and what not? If so how long would you think?

I was told no lifting for the first few weeks after surgery, and honestly, I found it a burden to take my large purse. I think you don't want to be carrying a baby or toddler too much.

I had an 11lb baby and a 38 lb 4yr old at tge time when i was sleeved. it was well into my 2nd week before my baby could sit with me for more than a few mins because she was so wiggly I would tense up to keep her balanced. But on week by the end of week three I could reach and pick her up from her bed but I couldn't bend down and get her swing. Idk if this helps but that was my experience, bath time was very interesting lol

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
