I get the same feeling after I eat, and I am sticking with very small amounts which are 1/4 cup of Protein, 1/4 cup of a veggie and 1/4 cup of a fruit I have not been able to complete a 1/4 cup of anything.

It'll take while. Peanut Butter sits too heavy with me right now. I can't touch it.

That thick , foamy spit...the throw up is behind it. Sorry. :( hope it happens soon or you at least feel better.

Take some gas x and that will give some relieve but otherwise you should feel better in an hour or so. Maybe wait a few weeks before trying Pb again.

I agree, the Peanut Butter was probably too heavy on you. The spit or "slimes" is a result of forcing too much in your sleeve. I've done it myself! We need to eat no more than 2 ounces at mealtime total, and if it's a heavy or new food, wait a while before eating, to make sure it sits well. If you have any cues from your body, mine is a feeling like something is stuck in my throat, stop eating , even if you haven't finished the 2 ounces. On a positive note, that feeling you have will pass within the hour. Just try to relax, and sit up. Good luck from a fellow rookie sleever!

If you can't throw up I would lay down or recline and focus on breathing.

Good to hear!

If you need the Peanut Butter taste, maybe PB2 will hold you over. I love it and added it a couple of days ago and my new tummy loves it and tolerates it well.

It's powdered Peanut Butter, I know it sounds gross, but it really is amazing. Think of 'dehydrated' peanut butter and it comes in a couple of different flavors. It costs around 4 dollars a jar. I add it to Protein shakes, greek yogurt, etc.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
