Going back to work soon, and will be on puree, what to bring?

Going back to work soon and wondering what people brought for breakfast and lunch

I go in very early, no time to eat before. I will still be on pureed. Any suggestions?

Thank you:)

My 1st week back I was eating cream of mushroom and cream of chicken Soup. And a little bit of creamy Peanut Butter. Lately I've been eating re-fried Beans with salsa and a little cheese mixed in.

cream of wheat and thinned oatmeal are great for Breakfast. i also ate the hand Soups from Campbell cream of chicken, broccoli, and chicken and stars...they are less than 200 calories and very filling.

My nutritionist told me absolutely NO Peanut Butter. However, here's what I eat on my pureed diet:

Breakfast

1 scrambled egg

MORNING snack

a few spoonfuls of yogurt

lunch

1 1/2 ounce tuna mixed with light mayo

applesauce

AFTERNOON SNACK

a few nibbles of sliced pears

I teach fourth grade, and as long as I bring an insulated bag with an icepack, everything works great for me!

I had a Protein Shake for Breakfast on the way to work (around 7 am) and brought the 4 oz cottage cheese pack for lunch. I also got Soups at work. Actually, I'm now on soft solids and still do the same thing - I'm loving my shake, and I seem to be addicted to the cottage cheese - totally enjoying it.

I take 1oz containers of Beans, cottage cheese, cream Soups, and packets of cream of wheat. How far post sleeve are you?

I will be three weeks when I go back.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
