I seem to be a bit lost here. Would you mind showing what it is you are referring to?

Are dirty pictures allowed, otr?

I'll show you mine if you show me yours!

Great I didn't really even think about where my boobs were during surgery...probably were Amytug said lol.I think I will ask my doc what they normally do...but what's done is done I guess.I am more concerned now with the fact that they hang even lower;)

LOL... Trust us when we say you don't want to really know about most things during surgery. If I hadn't already delivered babies and shed my modesty I would have been mortified when I found out about WLS procedures in the OR.

Best we can do is use humor to cover any humility we may have and laugh laugh laugh

OMG, now I think I might have had my boobs taped, there was a mark on the one that looked like something was stuck on it! O.o

Mine hang low, how do the doctors keep them out of the way. Sling them back with a bungie cord?

Hello! In my operating room experience what I can tell you is that once you are out your entire body is draped in sterile surgical fields. the only part of the body exposed is the window in which we are operating. If when you are lying flat and your boobs are still in the way we would either just push them off to the sides towards your arms. its nothing to be embarrassed or worried about.

EDIT: Yes, sometimes we use tape lol

Exactly what I was thinking LMAO! I know I didn't have any tape residue on the girls when I woke up.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
