noellegz1 5 Posted January 23, 2013 I'm scheduled to be having my sleeve done in June. Is their anything I can do now to prevent/or help with the excess skin? I heard getting full body massages after surgery can help. Does anyone know if that's true? Thanks in advance for your help
Tvorceskiy 6 Posted January 23, 2013 Fish oil, Vitamin E, keeping your skin moisturized should help, but from what I have read it takes time for your skin to catch up!
BeBeSpArKLeS 70 Posted January 23, 2013 Does anybody know if compression garments work to help reduce the excess skin? I know after pregnancy some recommend a compression garment for your stomach to help it return to it's pre-pregnancy form. I have read cardio and hydration help. Both Water intake and lotion hydration help.
kortolano 100 Posted January 23, 2013 my doctor told me that i will have some lose skin no matter what but it usually takes about three years for it to get to "normal" as long as I take care of myself. He suggested I do toning excerise and use Vitamin E orally and oils on my skin and stay well hydrated. As far as compression garments i dont think they really have a long term effect but i will be using them once i lose the weight so clothes will fit better. I have a friend that sells these things called "the wraps" they work on her it is only temp but it may be something you want to check out
