ISleevedIt 380 Posted January 23, 2013 I was talking to a friend about clothes sizes since I've managed to go down 1.5 sizes in the last 6 months (still waiting for final approval for WLS from Kaiser). I thought the "W" in sizing stood for "wide". My friend thinks it stands for "womens". Whose right?
No game 14,437 Posted January 23, 2013 God I hope it stands for "woman"!! How's that for insulting! "ma'am here's your 24 wide" 2 Lisa'slosinit and Velena reacted to this
Vicki0618 123 Posted January 23, 2013 LOL...I'm pretty sure it's "women's"...but Wide might be more descriptive.... 3 Momonanomo, Lisa'slosinit and Velena reacted to this
Carol Watts 67 Posted January 23, 2013 I think it is suppose to mean women's not wide. I have always been told it meant women's even when I worked in retail. 1 Velena reacted to this
Momonanomo 534 Posted January 23, 2013 for clothing, w = womens for shoes, w = wide But I agree with Vicki -- wide may be more descriptive!
Threetimesacharm 1,400 Posted January 23, 2013 OMG this is too funny!! Yes I agree it stands for "womens".
ISleevedIt 380 Posted January 23, 2013 thanks ladies! It never hit me that it could mean "women". I just thought it was "wide" like in shoes....lol Well hopefully I'll here from Kaiser soon about my WLS then hopefully I won't be "wide" anymore 1 Velena reacted to this
amitch17 17 Posted January 23, 2013 I always thought it was wide too. Other wise why wouldn't a size 22 (like 22 inches) say 22 w too?
