dr. weiner making a deal?

Ok, so I am thinking about using DR. Weiner in Frankfurt Germany, he does gastric bypass for military patients often. His staff is even familiar with the women in the tricare office here and know them by name.

Since I will be a self pay he emailed me to make a deal, he will take 1000k off the price if I have the money upfront and he will have to do it at a different hospital. Does this sound Kosher to you? Has this ever happened to anyone else? I'm scared that I will get a botch job. Should I be worried?

Many doctors offer a lower cash price. I know that ped. that sees my daughter charges my Ins $140 for a visit, when we had no Ins a visit was $45. The other hospital may have lower fees, check the hospital reputation and make sure you are comfortable there, ask for a tour if necessary. ~Mandy
