Guelia1279 10 Posted January 22, 2013 Today is day two post op. I have no regrets. It has been a little painful, but everyone has informed me on my wonderful progress. Just keeping positive thoughts and looking for to that light at the end of the tunnel. The hardest thing for me has been the nausea and gas pains, but they provide meds for that. Wishing any future sleevers a good luck and speedy recovery. :-) 2 VSG_me and annabelle reacted to this

Ernielaurie 16 Posted January 22, 2013 Good luck! I go in on Feb 11. Kind of nervous but looking forward to it. Keep telling us what to expect. It makes it easier to go in with some understanding of what's to come. 1 annabelle reacted to this

carly25 6 Posted January 22, 2013 Congratulations on your surgery! I was sleeved 8 weeks ago tomorrow. The first few days were rough for me because of the nausea from anesthesia and pain from the incisions. Other than that, it really is going well. Just remember to walk walk walk! It really does help with gas pain. I also used the spirometer every hour for the first few days. That helped alot as well. At 8 weeks, I have lost 45.5 pounds and am really excited about that. Just also remember to drink SLOWLY and when you start on mushies/purees and regular foods - eat really slow and do not eat and drink! When you eat fast and/or eat and drink, you will feel a type of "fullness" pain in your chest, which can be kinda painful especially in the beginning. You may also end up vomiting from it. That happened to me once when I ate and drank. Sometimes it doesn't come on for a little bit, so you may not be able to tell that you are full or can't fit any more in. You will get used to what "full" feels like eventually. Good luck and let us know how you're doing!!

Deanne 22 Posted January 25, 2013 I'm new to this site but glad I discovered it as I've needed some place to go for support. I'm having surgery on Jan 30th 2013 and a bit nervous but excited as well. It helps reading the positive posts. Haven't had the nerve to read the ones that aren't lol.
gemini76 0 Posted January 25, 2013 Had surgery on the 22nd. Had band removed n sleeve done. The worst part of surgery is the gas pain and dry heaving. The dry heaving was from the liquid meds they gave me. The gas is now starting to come out now, other than that I have no incision pain.
Edazzle 0 Posted January 25, 2013 I had surgery on 1/21 too my pain has gone away. However, I am very constipated. are you taking anything for that?
#Redy4chg.org 40 Posted January 26, 2013 I too had surgery 1/21. I am able to get gas out but still have heartburn. Intermittent pain. Last night was really bad. I have really bad head hunger and want to eat food. I also keep drinking too fast which is causing pain. And to add insult to injury I haven't lost any weight

However' date=' I am very constipated. are you taking anything for that?[/quote'] I haven't taken anything for that yet. I don't feel constipated because I've been on a liquid diet for the post op. I've been told that Fiber supplements help as well as Miralax.< /p>
