brandibandtosleeve2012 12 Posted January 22, 2013 I just had my revision from band to sleeve on Jan. 17th. Everything is moving along just fine but one issue I have is with taking deep breaths. I use the spirometer daily and it hurts to breathe in that deeply. Also, randomly with no warning throughout the day, i gasp for air. Just one or two huge gasps of air. Anyone else experienced this? bubles089 35 Posted January 22, 2013 You could have a small pulmonary embolus. If it goes on for to long call the dr. The spirometer is just for technique the number doesn't really Matter as much as taking the deep breaths and having a 3 Sec hold at the end of inspiration. To to help prevent pneumonia in the hospital from lung collapse. Walk walk walk that will help prevent it too.
