Recommended Posts

I am trying to get info from anyone in Texas who has used Dr Adam Smith? I know one is supposed to do research on the doctor you intend to use but I haven't found anything about him.

Dr. Smith did my sleeve on Dec. 3rd, 2012. I met with several others in the area before deciding to use him. I was self-pay and had my choice. I found him personable, easy to work with, and his self-pay rates were better than the other choices. I had awesome experience at Baylor Trophy Club; the staff was fantastic. There were no complications and I was back home in just over 24 hours with minimal pain and a quick recovery. Surgery was 2 months and 19 days ago and I've lost 45 pounds. I couldn't be happier.

I too used dr Adam smith. I used him just because, he took my insurance, and he was the nearest to my home. And my nephew recommend him as a friend

I also had mine done at trophy club 02/18/ 13. I think he did a great job. I was wondering ...those who had surgery a bout

4 weeks ago, if I will be well enough to take my grandkids camping over spring break?

In my experience, barring complications, you will be "able" to take the grand kids camping. However, you may not want to. I looked at your profile to see your vital stats, but your age, etc. isn't listed. So let me share my experience. I am in my early forties and was 222 when I was sleeved. Four weeks post-op, my sutures were nicely healed, I felt great...and I still tired easily after a full day at my desk job. Yes, I was walking and doing other exercises everyday; yes, I was eating my Protein and drinking my fluids. All was well, my body just took another 3 or 4 weeks before everything felt fully recovered and my endurance and energy levels were back to normal.

I just had my surgery on 2/18 w Dr smith at baylor trophy club also. He is real attentive but to the point has a pet peeve for fully examining you before doing surgery psych, edge, blood, chest xrays etc. The process is rather quick because they submit to your insurance while waiting for results of tests. I went for consult on 1/15 was approved in 17days then sleeved two was later. The staff at trophy club is extremely personal and considerate. It is a small facility so it is one on one they make sure u r comfortable

..hope this helps

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
