Traci J. 207 Posted January 22, 2013 At 2 weeks post-op my nut told me to try and get between 600-700 calories, 50+ Protein and at least 48 oz of liquids NOT counting my Protein Shakes. I am now a month out and am fine with the calories and protein, but still only able to get about 32 oz of liquids a day. But each Dr. and Nut is different...and it may also depend on your starting weight, so I'd ask them. Good luck!
Richard Foor 655 Posted January 22, 2013 I would say the most important things to work on are getting your Protein and liquids up. My target range was 60 Proteins and 64 oz liquids. Good luck
aliandrews 98 Posted January 22, 2013 You could be hitting a stall. Most do around that time. I hit a stall that lasted 8 days at the end of my 2 weeks post op. I was told to get in 400-600 cal and get in 60-80 gr of Protein. It looks like you're doing good. 20 lbs is great. I know I lost 21 lbs at the end of my first month. Ask your NUT what calorie and protein range they want you in. Everyone is different.
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted January 22, 2013 I recommend taking it just one day at a time. Focus on getting in your liquids in and Protein don't worry too much about calories. It is totally normal to have your body take a breather to readjust in inches. You are doing great! Keep on healing for now.
