When is everyone's favorite time to work out. Morning, evening, night? And why? What are the benefits of this for you? What do you do before and after your workout?

Just curious to see how others are doing and some of your guyses fitness favorites. ;)

I actually like working out at around 9:00am.

There are a few very specific reasons:

1. I want to wait long enough after eating my Breakfast Protein shake with chia seeds at 6:00am to have an optimal workout. The 3 hours also gives me enough time to get really hydrated and, perhaps, take a pre work out drink (GNC) for an optimal workout. I believe h brand is cells or. I have been pawning samples off of GNC until I decide to commit to a tub. They are happy to give me the little samples, especially after I buy their expensive amplified Wheybolic 60 tubs (60 a pop).

2. I am naturally a morning person and get up at 5-5:30am every morning.

3. I work on ET (team is based in Stamford CT) and they start at 6:00 am PT.

4. As with 3), they take lunch hour at 9:00am

5. As with 3) all the conference calls are between 6am-9am PT. I am a technical software developer and lead on my team, so am packed with meetings every am and then get my real software development work done the rest of the day (usually finish by. 6 pm PT)

6. Because of 5) I often work throughout the afternoon and find myself missing a workout if I delay

7. Because of 2) if I wait to workout until after dinner, I lose about 95% of my motivation.

There are a lot of reasons, but I think you will follow my reasoning even if it is a bit constrained. Given 3) I almost always have a break from team interactions and can go run or strength train for an hour. The key, like eating, is to find and Taylor a set of rules that work just for you for long term habits. Good luck!

I drop the kids at school and am in the gym at 8:00a. Home for Breakfast by 9:30 or 10:00.

I walk at lunch (hilly) and sometimes also hit the gym after work as well but usually just do one or the other. I like working out after work because I tend to eat a healthier dinner which tends to be the one time of day I am most likely to not stay on plan. After the workout, I don't want to ruin what i just did.

At the gym, I do a variety of things: bike, elliptical, lifting, yoga class, Zumba (so much fun) and swimming. I like mixing it up and try not to get too caught up in following a particular plan that I ma not follow through on. When I approach exercise that way, I tend to have more fun and am more likely to go back.

While school is in session I like to exercise at 5. This gives me an hour and a half, plus I have enough time to still get ready for work. I have to work out in the morning. I don't have the time to do it in the afternoon and by then I'm exhausted. While on vacation I like 830 am. I get to sleep in but still exercise in the morning. It's a great way to start the day!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
