The 15...what date are u trying to fo

The 15th or the 22nd, it all depends on when the income taxes and passport arrive. I looked at the wrong month on my phone calendar and was thinking you had 4 weeks left but you're right. This means I have 3 or 4 weeks left. Yayayayaya. Lol

Can't think of a better way to spend income tax refunds. :)

Hey, I had read some where that you do not need an actual passport to travel to/from Tijuana, just an ID from the states and a birth certificate.... Is that not true?

"Americans without passports or special documents also can return across the border from Tijuana with two proofs of citizenship, according to Frommer's. The most common documents include a driver's license and birth certificate, though documents such as military identification also work. Travelers 18 and younger must have a birth certificate if they are crossing without a passport." Has this changed? Please let me know girls! Otherwise I gotta rush to get an expedited passport card

I had my passport and my daughter did not. she had no problem getting back into the United States with her picture ID and birth certificate. IT was very stressful though worrying about it! lol At the border we got held up because she bought an awful looking cow leg that had been made into a wine decanter and wanted to bring it home with her... she ended up getting it back and we were on our way with no problem :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
