toodabarn 4 Posted January 21, 2013 Hello Tomorrow is my second week. I am starting soft foods. I bought salmon and tuna in pouches. Single serve which is what I liked about it. Does anyone know how or what to mix with the salmon? mayo, mustard ( yellow or brown?) I have no idea how to eat this lol. The tuna is easy. Ill mix that with mayo but I can't have hard food yet like onions so I don't know what to mix with the salmon. Thank you
kpaige77 49 Posted January 21, 2013 during this stage i just ate it plain. before surgery i could have never done that but after surgery i was soooo hungry for some "real food" it tasted like a meal fit for a king! if you can have light mayo then an option would be to make the salmon just like you would make the tuna. i add various seasonings to mine. whatever strikes my mood. lemon pepper, old bay, season salt, dill... just try to not use too much salt because your body will want to hold on to anything at this point in your journey. TheGamer 406 Posted January 21, 2013 The pouched salmon is pretty interchangeable with tuna, just with a milder taste. It can be a little dry, so a bit of mayo helps. Steamed salmon is amazing, though, and much tastier than the pouched stuff.

hepktty 30 Posted January 23, 2013 Take cream of chicken Soup add enough milk to make it runny like a sauce and slowly add lemon juice to taste. I use this for my salmon pinwheels. Its good.
Escape_Pod 358 Posted January 23, 2013 I think any kind of fish like that goes well with cottage cheese, but then ... I like cottage cheese. 1 rubyanne reacted to this
