medication question

I take a hand full of pills every night....what happens after surgery? I've been told I could be off diabetes meds in 2days to 2 weeks, but how will I take all those horse pills? I also take pain meds all day, every day. Concerned!

Your surgeon or Dr. should help you to figure out if any of your pills will be to hard to swallow, if any of them are to big they may be able to get you a different form of the med or some of them can be crushed or cut to be swallowed easier. Good Luck

I Had to crush all my pills for the first month and there was also a few that I had to take in liquid for a few months. My Dr's also had me stop a few medications for awhile because they were to hard on the stomached.

I crushed my pills and mixed them with a very small amount of a Protein Shake. Yuck it was really gross but didn't last long.
