slimmerplt 7 Posted January 30, 2013 My date is 26 Feb. however I haven't received insurance approval. I'm so worried about being denied. My company notified us today that we are keeping CIGNA but there r changes. I'm worried if I have more to do or provide I won't have enough time to complete prior to 1 March when new plan kicks in. We have a teleconference on Monday to talk about plan etc. But here is my schedule: 31 Jan7 ? Don't remember what this appt is for other then getting paperwork for EKG, labs and sonogram. 7 Feb Nut and education class and 14 feb per-op. I have a two week diet also. Just praying I hear something positive this week!
ready2lose100 5 Posted January 30, 2013 I'm set up for February 4th. Seems like forever away. People keep telling me' date=' "oh don't worry". It bugs me cause I'm not worried. What seems to keep popping in my head is, am I doing the right thing. I would like to here what others are thinking, going through. My Doctors plan is two days preop clear liquid, not 10 like I've been reading on here. Anyone else similar? Thanks, Kimo[/quote'] I am Feb4 as well. I cant wait!!! I have 2 more days of 1000 calories then 3 days of Clear Liquids. Good luck!!!
Susie1226 138 Posted January 30, 2013 I'm sad, scared, excited, giddy, etc all at the same time. I just got my date today. I get sleeved Feb. 18th in San Antonio, Tx. with Dr. Gonzalez. Pre-op diet seared Monday. 2 Protein Drinks and a small meal for dinner. I get my pre-op visit done on the 14th. So my last meal on Sunday is going to be Rudy's Bar-B-Que. The "worst" bar-b-que. It's been on the food Network several times. Bad I know to plan a last meal but I know I won't be eating Rudy's for quite a long time. I must have their cream corn one last time. LOL!! I started the all liquid diet Wednesday January 30th and I am just fine . No hunger, no headache, feeling good. I picked up all of my medication today including the following items Emend for nausea to be taken 3 hours before sugery, Nystatin Mouthwash to be swished and Swallowed 4 days prior to surgery, Diflucan 1 tab to be taken 3 hours prior to surgery, Hibiclens wash twice daily until surgery date, and the biggie Enoxaparin to be injected daily in stomach 12 days after surgery( to reduce any blood clots DVTS) . I am self pay and ended up paying around 416.00 for all of this medication in addition to my surgery. Just giving all of you self payers a heads up... it is costly. I've gone through ups and downs( mentally) in preperation for my surgery and have a great team of doctors, nutrionist, psycologist, nurse pracs, exercise therapist, and doctors who are doing a great jobin educating me that this is a CHANGE FOR LIFE. This is NOT a quick fix and it will not be easy. It will require lifestyle changes. My biggest struggle is I am afraid of myself and failing... because as you all know this will only work as good as you adhere to the protocol! It will require WORK! As you can see I am not a high BMI patient but struggle with my weight and am aware that it is the right choice for my future. 208 today could mean 250 tomorrow. I know the drill. I will keep everyone posted about my journey and hope all of my fellow Febuary sleevers are ready for the new person waiting inside of them! Good luck to everyone!
