I gave the baby bullet and it blends up a small serving very nicely.

Today is my day. I'm excited nervous. I didn't realize how nervous I was until my stomach starting feeling anxious. Today is the start of a new life. Good luck everybody.

Best wishes to you. You'll be just fine. I was sleeved on 2/19 and the only discomfort I have is from gas, which lasts about 1-2 weeks post-op.

Well, we are down in Dayton at the hotel. My surgery time was bumped up from 10:45 to 7:15am! Let's hope the surgeon is a morning person!! I have to be at the hospital by 5:15. Not gonna sleep tonight at all. Too excited and anxious!

I am doing better then I thought I would. Hardly no gas and minimal pain so far. Thank you pain meds!!! I hope all you who are getting sleeved today are doing well also!

I was told no polish on my finger because the put the pulse ox probe to measure your oxygenation but I had a French manicure on my toes. They said that was ok

I went in with pink toes and French manicure with zebra stripes and they said no problem.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
