I'm set up for February 4th. Seems like forever away. People keep telling me' date=' "oh don't worry". It bugs me cause I'm not worried. What seems to keep popping in my head is, am I doing the right thing.

I would like to here what others are thinking, going through.

My Doctors plan is two days preop clear liquid, not 10 like I've been reading on here. Anyone else similar?

Thanks,

Kimo[/quote']

Omg..I am having the same thoughts (my surgery is scheduled for February 11th). I am so conflicted, lots of thinking to do:/

Good Luck to all the February sleevers! I will be sleeved Feb 11th in Tampa and I start my pre-op diet 14 days before. My pre-op diet is 2 Protein Shakes then 1 meal with a baked or grilled meat with 1/2 cup of grilled veggies. My nut said if you need something else have a sugar free Jello or a sugar free popsicle. I'm going to do the best I can and not stress or beat myself up ;).

February 4 surgery! On the pre-op diet and kind of enjoying seeing the scale move to lower numbers each day. Best wishes to you all for safe/successful surgery.

Wow, lotta February's. It's nice to see so many participating. Good Luck to everyone!!

Update for me;

Someone above stated exactly how I feel, excited, but nervous and wanna do this. I watched the surgery on youtube, that was a bad idea. lol. The tube is mentally bugging me for some reason.

Auto immune disease here too. Vertigo.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
