Ok, i have no idea where to even put this. I am pre-op, but an exercise/general question. Does anyone notice that they don't sweat during exercise? I can get my heart-rate up to 180BPM and no sweating. Normally this would not be a problem, however i get really hot and cannot cool by body down, via sweating. Am i the only one? Here i thought as a big person i should sweat more lol. Cheers!!

You need to get that checked out. Do you sweat at lower heart rate? If you are moving into heat exhaustion or stroke you will stop sweating. But no sweating ever is a good thing to talk to a physician about.

I've never been a 'sweat-er' years in the military and I got red, flushed but I have no sweat pouring off my face like others. It's weird. Have you tried the obvious: adding more Water to your day?

What I have noticed, is when I do HIIT, I sweat. You may have a higher threshold, as I do. I literally went through metabolic testing to figure out what my max hr was, but still have to do High Intensity Interval Training.

Which explains why I took up cycling and found my new love. :) I ride outside and the constant change up in the ride and geography will have you burning more calories than you ever thought.

I have experienced this, but only when I haven't had enough Water. When I drink more, I sweat profusely, even at night when I'm sleep, but I think that's due to me putting too many blankets on the bed LOL.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
