hard2do 2 Posted January 20, 2013 Well I've been on the liquid diet for two weeks and today I crashed. I was totally disappointed in myself but what's done is done. I have been sticking to it ,but the weight loss isn't what I thought it would be for as hungry as I have been these couple of weeks. Two more weeks to go, I hope this didn't mess everything up!!! JessicaAnn 564 Posted January 20, 2013 How long are you supposed to be on the diet for? How badly did you "crash"?
hard2do 2 Posted January 20, 2013 The diet was for four weeks. I ate a normal meal, but definitely not a liquid diet lol
tigerbelle 328 Posted January 20, 2013 that 30-day pre-op liquid diet regimen is one of the things that has me worried...I don't want to sound negative or discouraging, but my thoughts are that for a person with a food addiction (like me), the main reason I am having the surgery is to aid me in overcoming hunger and as a tool not to overeat...if I could stay on a liquid diet for 30 days, then probably by then I could continue on a liquid or Protein Shake diet for a longer time...the whole thing is that I don't know if I can--emotionally--stay on a liquid diet for 30 days (before the surgery, that is)...sigh...I can sympathize with you for sure
hard2do 2 Posted January 20, 2013 My thoughts exactly. I don't want to sound negative either, but thats the reason I'm overweight now. No willpower!!! I've had all the test, been to all the meetings now if I can just stick with this for two more weeks!!!!
Mastiff_mama 171 Posted January 20, 2013 I can't imagine! I have to do 10 days of liquid for 2 meals and one small real meal of low Carb low fat. Even that has me concerned. I don't think I could handle the 30 days either!
tigerbelle 328 Posted January 21, 2013 just hang in there, hard2do...halfway there
iegal 460 Posted January 21, 2013 Wanted to send a note to each of you encouraging you to hang in there even if just until the end of today. Tomorrow you can start fresh knowing you can handle this. Yes, it is tough, tiring and emotionally draining fighting old habits. You are so close! Hugs for being willing to fight this battle
Chubarella 87 Posted January 22, 2013 Wow, and I'm complaining about 1 week of liquids. You've done really well so far, don't let that meal get you down.
