3week postop questions

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved on 1/31 and so far everything is going great! I had a little pain and was really tired but seem to have gotten my energy level back up...just a few questions:

- during my post-op followup I asked my surgeon about 'sissy the sleeve' gurgling and growling. Based on what I read on here, I expected him to tell me it was acid, but he replied 'it's hungry, you gotta eat'. I thought that goes away. Does it?

- I can easily eat 1cup of Soup in 5-10 minutes. Is that OK? I asked the dr and he said it should be more like 30 minutes.

-I will start mushies on Monday, do you blend eggs or can I scramble and chew the heck out of them?

-I still have glue on my incisions. I am leaving it alone but want to pull it off to put lotion on them. Am I healed enough to do that? They are almost gone except for the glue dots.

Thanks!

It could be acid, or if it has been a while since you ate, it could be hunger. Don't pull that glue off, it will come when it's supposed to. The eggs don't have to be pureed just chew well. Eggs is the one food I can't eat so far, only a month out. I don't think I could do a cup of Soup in that time or maybe at all. I would slow it down a little and get used to really taking your time eating. Good luck!!

Good questions. I am nine days post op. I have a lot of gurggling while eating or drinking. Any ideas what it is?

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
