RE-USE of the FILL NEEDLE

Recommended Posts

I'm sorry I missed this thread......there are other Doctor's that will take another Doctor's patients. At least here in Michigan they do. You may consider going to another Doctor and explaining your situation. Good luck

I am also a health care professional and you can report this MD to the State Department of Health, the licensing board of your state, the hospitals where the MD has admitting authorization and the center for disease control (CDC). You could also write a letter to this MD (anonymous if you prefer) stating the facts and what action you plan to take if he continues to reuse needles. Mention the State Dept. of Health, the licensing board and the CDC and I bet he ceases all illegal and unprofessional/unethical practices STAT.

I think that this is a quick route to a port infection. Toss the needle and report the doctor!

Toss the Dr, and then report and then PASS on the needle in the report!

In that order!

Please, please report this! My goodness where did this man go to med school? How many infections is he starting in unsuspecting patients? I would immediately find another doctor and report him to anyone who will listen. So glad you haven't had complications!

I paid 65 dollars for the needle. Why is Inamed needle soexpensive, or the doctor takes the advantage of the patients, and radiology costs 65$, and charges 30$ for the administration of the fill. :cry

It's not an Inamed needle. It's a Huber needle. Inamed does not manufacture them and I'm not sure they even sell them. If you are getting fluoro for $65.00 and fills for $30.00 (plus the needle), consider yourself blessed. Many people pay way more than that.

Fluoro for $65? Crap, I'd pay for one every month, just for the peace of mind of making sure everything's where it should be. Fluoro at the hospital my surgeon uses starts at $800.

I personally, do not think this is as strange as everyone else. The "biohazard" of a needle is the tissue that the needle is inserted into. That is why sharing needles is "bad". Sticking the needle into the same tissue will not cause any problems. If the area is cleaned properly and never touches anything but your tissue, then there should be no concern.

I am a recovering cancer patient. I have an eight inch scar on my back from surgery where the tumor and 4 layers of margins were removed. I had to undergo a series of "trigger point" injections to "deaden" the nerve endings that were growing into the scar tissue. I was stuck over 50 times with the same needle. Should they have used 50 needles? That seems funny. I really don't see he problem.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
