Haha, thanks, BTB! You didn't have to do that! That sounds delicious! I think I'm going to start that. Thanks again

See above.

Butter...you're the best! Great advice AND recipes! Question: I'm just getting my raw veggies in, trying one at a time (very sensitive sleeve, I'm taking it slow), do you think juicing will remove the excess Fiber and be easier to digest (I'm just past 3 months)? I can only eat 2-3 tiny bites of salad still and chew til there's nothing left! But I want, and need more. I'm relying on dairy and miss the flavors of greens. I do have a Jack LaLane Juicer....it never occurred to me to juice! Thank you!

Juicing will definitely remove some of the fiber....although I think that's the good part, but if you can't tolerate it then of course don't push your sleeve. I would say give it a try but approach it just like any other new food....cautiously. You didn't mention fruit but I'd be leary of juicing alot of fruit due to the higher calories and sugar content. Much better just to eat those if you can....IMHO. juice some green veggies though and let us know how they come out.

Wow I just got around to reading this thread today and the first post vs. the last post seems like 2 completely different posts.

Am I to assume that Mason is a physocology professional who deals with obesity on a daily basis? If so, it would explain a lot.

I haven't been on VST too much lately but checked today and I'm so glad I came across this thread! I am almost 8 months out... was a "low BMI" before surgery but honestly for my height, I was just plain fat. Started at just under 5'3 and my highest was 197 lbs. Now, I'm down to 127 lbs and feel GREAT! It hasn't been a super easy journey but I'm thrilled with how things have turned out...

This surgery allowed me to break my addictions. Simply put. I can say it allowed me to lose weight because of Portion Control, but at the end of the day, what it really did was give me the power to break my food addictions. That's what made it hard! Giving up massive quantities of sugar and processed foods.

Anyway, I am slowly converting to Paleo and I'm so thrilled to see others doing the same thing! I CRAVE nutrition like this now, and am starting to see my beloved McD's double cheeseburgers as "plastic food" now.

I am a very very firm believer in Paleo. I wish more than anything I could have done it and stuck with it before surgery, but I couldn't... so here I am now.

So many things I was scared of, and here I am now, 5'3, 127 lbs (and still losing, my original goal was 125 but I think 120 or even 115 is more like it) wearing size 6 jeans and I feel GREAT! My hair, that I thought would turn dull and fall out, is growing like crazy, long, and I'm NOT BALD!

I think my improved overall nutrition was far better than anything else!

ANYWAY - for you Paleo eaters... isn't it weird how SO MANY OF US convert to this after the sleeve?????

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
