Exactly my point ... I did it 2 weeks but my dr. Said 3 weeks . And I'm not going to tell her to do it early . I have nothing to hide

I'm just saying what she said and what you said was different you did it before your doc said and did it before u seek advice really I was just tell her the facts so she won't get the wrong facts

My doctor said two months and then be sure you're tracking it with your food choices. I account for every glass of wine I drink and adjust my fitness goals or eating goals appropriately. I am losing just fine but then I don't drink to get drunk, just to enjoy the wine, so that's maybe a glass or two verses tossing down a bottle (though that would help my liquid goals LOL)

If your doc says one year, ask them the logic behind that. OFten it's advised because the first year is the best weight loss period so they want to help you get to goal. Booze is kind of like candy...it may taste good but we don't need it right? My physician feels that moderation is key and given I''m a lower BMI that it won't effect me meeting goal.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
