Southern Gal 20 Posted January 18, 2013 I'll share my experience. I never had GERD...never, until postop. I wasn't sure what was going on but I was miserable. My de. Put me on Prilosec and has relieved it completely. That is some good medicine..lol! Dr said to take for two months and then see how I do. Hopefully I'll be able to get off of it. Alabamasleever 58 Posted January 19, 2013 I've had gerd for years and have taken prilosec daily. Still taking prilosec, just open it and put capsules on my tongue. I have only had reflux one time since surgery and it's because I ate too much. It doesn't even compare to how bad it was pre-surgery! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
