lessofmeismore 1,405 Posted January 18, 2013 Wow that's a long time on that diet...I would contact my surgeons office for suggestions. You could try switching to another type of diet.
*Dean* 1,594 Posted January 18, 2013 I was on a diet the same as this for 12 months and seeing a dietician every week. I only lost 15 kgs (30+ pounds). I should have lost a heap more and it was really expensive, about the same as the out of pocket for my VSG. The reason I didn't lose is because I wasn't sticking to it, because I was bloody starving!! You've been on a really restrictive diet for a long time which is hard (read: impossible) but are you sticking to it? because I couldn't! All the best, Deano
jwaller7577 6 Posted January 18, 2013 Mostly except Thanksgiving and Christmas that was hard. And yeah I feel starved but its all with it right? 3 months down and 3 to go =)
lessofmeismore 1,405 Posted January 18, 2013 It was hard and I mean hard for me to do it for two weeks. I can't imagine 6 months. It is worth it! Once you get surgery it will be easy to eat the right amounts and not feel hungry. It's an amazing tool. You should maybe give yourself a mix up for about a week. Maybe healthy eatting for 7 days then back to shakes and salads. Maybe do this every other week?
