2*see*me*again 9 Posted January 18, 2013 I was sleeved on November 1st so I am almost 3 months out but I have been wondering when I can try cold Cereal again. Is there a time frame for it?
Keepgoing247 116 Posted January 18, 2013 I'm not sure, I would say try a bite and see how you feel. I'm looking forward to eating Special K Protein plus cereal! It has less carbs and extra protein. Yummy! Good luck.

SleeveNZ 219 Posted January 18, 2013 I have eaten cold cereal since 3 weeks out so I think you will def be safe to start! I started off with 1/4 soggy weetbix (that's what we call them over here) and then per NUT any other high Protein cereal from 6 weeks.
mrs sandy r 152 Posted January 18, 2013 You should be fine , I've had cereal about 8 wks out, only 1/4 of a cup , with lactaid milk. My stomach doesn't handle reg milk very well. The only way to find out what your stomach can handle is to try a little at a time. My dr told me , try anything , see how it reacts , just remember eat very little
2*see*me*again 9 Posted January 18, 2013 Okay good. I've been a little nervous to try but I tolerate cold milk (2% and 1% lactose free) really well. I do Protein Shakes with cold milk. So I will try a little. Thanks for the replys.
Karishero 57 Posted January 18, 2013 I found this online- 4 weeks after surgery-Cold cereal with less than 5 grams of sugar per serving (examples: plain shredded wheat, original Fiber One®, Rice Krispies®, plain Cheerios®, corn flakes.) is fine.. you may want to let it soak if you have apprehensions, and of course use skim, soy or fat free milk. JayneD 31 Posted January 23, 2013 I eat cherrios since 2 months out. No problems except it doesn't offer much Protein value. ????
