I dreamt that I went to Mx for my surgery. That all the commonly used surgeons were there to perform my surgery.

My surgery went well and I had no leaks.

After I was released to the hotel I tried drinking diet Pepsi and started to panic. I couldn't find the surgeons. Only other WLS patients telling me I screwed up. Then I woke up. Sigh...

In my VSG dreams, everyone is naked. The whole surgical team. Oh sure, they have on masks and gloves, but otherwise, buck ass naked.

My dream was really strange. I was in Mexico with my Mom and little sister. We all three were waiting to get sleeved. My Mom went first, and my sister decided not to do it. I was waiting and waiting for my turn, and finally I went in for surgery. Then I remember going under anesthesia (this is in my dream, so it was like a dream within a dream... Yeah, some inception stuff right there) but I went under, and everything was all white and fuzzy, I thought that I was in heaven. I thought that I passed away during surgery... It was so weird. Then I woke up in my dream and realized I survived the surgery. Then I woke up in real life... Lol

Lol I've yet to have an actual dream about the surgery but there have been mornings where I wake up in a sort of panic grabbing my stomach, expecting to be in pain thinking I've had the surgery. It's always a disappointment when I fully wake up and realize I haven't had the surgery yet.

My dream was weird and a little scary too. I woke from surgery and was super. I watched some guy next to me whine about everything (I remember thinking in my dream that he was being such a baby) but then he truly started having major issues and I had to watch while they worked a code...I woke up terrified. Lol guess my slight fears were magnified in my dream.

Our subconscious is rather powerful, isn't it?

My friend had a dream that when we went to Mexico her four children were kidnapped. No dreams about the surgery yet for either one of us. And No, her children are not coming with us LOL

Had another WLS dream last night! Lol I was supposed to be discussing my surgery with Dr. Ortiz at OCC, but he was Dr. Drew.... You know, drug rehab Dr. Drew. Haha

I was trying to talk to him about prices and he was going to do my surgery for $1000 if I could get 2 more people to schedule surgeries also.

I'm starting to have weird dreams too! I dreamt that I had the VSG, but a mean nurse took over my case and discharged me that same day. So I got home, and then for some reason without even thinking, I ate a sh** ton of RAW broccoli!! (which I would never to in real life btw, heh heh.) But then immediately I realized oh crap, I just had surgery what am I doing?!! I tried to call the hospital and say, "um, I was just there....so uh, can you let me back in?" The mean nurse said no.

As the date gets closer the dreams are becoming more frequent for me. Not always bad dreams. Sometimes they are just odd.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
