noellegz1 5 Posted January 18, 2013 Hi, I'm curious does anyone regret having the surgery? I'm 28 5'1" 215. I really really want to go thru with the sleeve. I'm just nervous and afraid it won't be worth the pain. My goal weight would be 140. Thanks everyone!
fyre_storm 1,412 Posted January 18, 2013 If you type in the question in the search bar you'll find like a million of these type posts. And a majority of them will say no they don't. Se will say yes the day, mostly newer sleeved ppl and ppl with complications. But once the decision is made it doesn't really matter cause you can't undo it. SylviaMom 83 Posted January 18, 2013 Not so far. But definitely know the risks and understand the lifestyle changes you will make to be successful in the long run. It's not a magic pill but so far it has been a great tool. Whatever you decide, best wishes for health and happiness.
Squisha 99 Posted January 18, 2013 No regrets, 10 months out and 115lbs down. Best thing I have ever done.
allnewme 262 Posted January 18, 2013 Not one regret other than I wish I done this sooner. It is hard at first and some days are not easy BUT at 5 months out, I am feeling my new "normal" and it feels really good.

LindaS 316 Posted January 18, 2013 I am happier and healthier since surgery, and I've never regretted it. The only thing I have regretted about this entire experience was that I was that I needed surgery in the first place.
O.T.R. sleever 3,386 Posted January 18, 2013 Actual real regret, no. I believe we all have moments though. Like when you walk into your favorite resturaunt and you see calamari appetizer, a new steak portofino, and oh my goodness, that lemon cheesecake. You want it all. That lasts for a minute or 2 then you realize, HOLY COW, that's almost 4000 calories, then all of the sudden the regret is gone. You are not going to get he surgery & never look back. But when you do, it doesn't take long for the reality of what your old lifestyle leads to. Like the old saying goes " nothing tastes as good as thin feels"
franken05 7 Posted January 18, 2013 With only being a month out and a few complications, I would have to say yes and no. I had a stent placed because I leaked. I was in ICU because of it. Now that it's over I feel better. I like that I'm down 33 pounds. I like that I'm "full" all the time. I like that I can get a lot of meals out of one meal from a restaurant. Not that I've tried because I'm on mushy foods. But I'm not feeding my face all the time like I use to. Things were rough in the beginning, but I have a new outlook.
