Delta girl 19 Posted January 21, 2013 I'm an RN in a hospital -12 hour shifts. There is no " taking it easy" at work for me. So my Dr. recommends 6-8 weeks. Luckily it's paid by my disability insurance so I plan on taking all 8 weeks.
Stef 264 Posted January 21, 2013 I took two weeks off but I could have gone back to work (I'm a network engineer) three days after I was discharged from the hospital.
Bigepc 84 Posted January 21, 2013 I'm taking 5 weeks. I'm a chef and on my feet all day. Also lifting heavy pots is not an option to take the risk of hurting myself.
Renea77 84 Posted January 22, 2013 I took two weeks off, I could have used more though as I was severely anemic and lost a lot of blood which slowed my strength and recovery time.
