dharriott 37 Posted January 17, 2013 Went to my seminar and met with the doctor and it all went very well. I'm a great candidate for the surgery but.... Good news is my insurance company; BCBS of Texas and my policy covers the surgery, bad news is I have to wait a year to do it as its a new insurance policy. Sigh... Karishero 57 Posted January 17, 2013 That sux! Sorry to hear that. I know how discouraging it can be. The first time i went to get my consult in Oct i never made it past the insurance person bcz mine didn't cover it at all. Now i'm under new insurance and it does so I'm excited.. but initially i was crushed. Just learn what you can now and get prepared as much as you can and that way when it's time you'll be ready! Knee2010 54 Posted January 17, 2013 Ask you insurance what, if any guidlines you have to follow. A lot of insurance companies make you do a "supervised" diet for 6 months. If yours has that requirement then you know you need to start it during the summer so that way as soon as next year rolls around you will already have done that part.
