Night Sweats and pain on left side

Recommended Posts

When I eat I get a pain on my Left side it does go away after about an hour after eating this has been going on for about a month. I'm 4 months out/.

I started working out really hard lately and the last couple of nights I've woken up in the middle of the night soked in sweat. So soaked I have to wash up and change my PJ's.

The pain is not to bad and my Dr. said as long as I don't have a fever I don't have to worry about a leak but I'm always worrried that I'm doing something wrong to my sleeve. I try to be very careful but it's a scary thing that we did to our stomach so I do wonder what's going on in there. Anyone else have this? My husband said he thought I had an accident in the bed it was so wet.

I'm pre-op, but if I were you, I might insist on the test that checks for leaks. Maybe it's a small leak that hasn't caused an infection yet, just the pain. I don't want to scare you, but better to be safe then sorry?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
