Pepper Paul 143 Posted March 15, 2013 But what is it actually for… I'm still confused. It's a calibration tube that's used as a guide for the surgeon so that they make your sleeved stomach the correct size. They put it down your throat and into your stomach and then the surgeon cuts the stomach around it. The bigger the bougie, the more of your stomach that is left. Here's a YouTube link that explains it in detail.

jilliemay 12 Posted March 15, 2013 You guys are my lifeline right now. Nausea was so bad so i stopped pain meds. Ouch. I get waves of pain in my chest & shoulders. I came home yesterday, but couldnt eat anything. This morning, ive mixed an Isopure powder shake & have had a few sips. Not sure if thats going to stay down. I hope so. Also have a slight fever - it hovers between 99 & 99.4. I think i need to take my pain but so afraid of the bad nausea. I will call doctor & ask for the zofram. Thanks for your replies! Please tell me that its going to get better. lol
