mzbzfl 23 Posted March 24, 2013 I was sleeved around 12:30 today and so far I am feeling good. Haven't used much pain medication. Only drawback is I can't sleep. Its 1:04 am and I'm wide awake! You are probably just a little stressed. Read, watch TV or even better, maybe write in a notebook, maybe a journal .... you could be budding author!!! mzbzfl 23 Posted March 24, 2013 Has anyone developed a annoying cough? I dont cough anything up just can't get it under control. I had a miserable cough from the moment I woke up (sore throat due to the tube in throat during surgery which you don't even know they did cause you are asleep when they do it) and it lasted until I was home about a week. I used Ricola sugar free Lemon Mint Herb Throat Drops, very soothing, especially just as I was going to bed. :^)
mzbzfl 23 Posted March 24, 2013 I'm still taking my aceto+codeine at night because that is when I feel my most soreness. It also helps with the back pain I get sleeping on my back as I am usually a side sleeper. Good sleep is a priority for me as it helps with healing and the keeps you mentally healthy. I am going to ask about liquid Tylenol at the first check up next week. liquids are going down pretty easy, no hunger, no nausea. I feel I am pretty lucky. My Dr said Tylenol was OK, liquid ONLY and use caution w/ quantity of course. I couldn't get it done one day so I mixed it in some Raspberry Crystal Light and it helped alot. kyeta96 50 Posted March 24, 2013 Thanks Destiny. We have a WLS support group at the hospital I'm having it at so I'm looking forward to participating. I've come to the conclusion God has always been and will continue to be my support system. Moka, One of the great things about God is that He knows intimately how to walk alone down a road where he is beaten, ridiculed, and ashamed. He will NEVER EVER let you suffer alone. I'm praying that you see Him coming from the people around you. Every whisper of encouragement, every kind touch, every nurturing presence is His love for you, His child. he and I are well acquainted. I will be praying for you with everything I have. I have my surgery the same day you do. If you want someone to call, feel free to IM me for my number. 2 Moka and slimjim41 reacted to this
