CA712 111 Posted March 21, 2013 I hope you get your surgery and the insurance company approves; Mine looks for BMI over 40 and comorbiltiy issues like: high blood pressure, sleep apnea, diabetics, urinary incontenence, you do not have to have all these issues but if BMI is over 40 and you one or more of these health issues so do not over look anything. mlecompte 20 Posted March 21, 2013 I am literally bawling uncontrollably right now... my surgery was approved with the surgeons office and everything I got the notice this last week. Today I recieved an unrelated call about a heart monitor I need to wear for a while and they told me when they tried to run my insurance I was not approved, I called my insurance and they told me I was no long eligible. I don't normally share this information openly but obviously the insurance I was using to get the surgery was medicaid, and they said I make to much. My income has not changed and I have been on medicaid for several months now. All they could tell me is I made to much and should have never been on it in the first place. I can't get the surgery anymore and I can't stop bawling,

I don't know what state you are in but your Dr would not have accepted you as a patient if it wasn't a medical necessity... call them out on it..I am here if u need to talk.. I am sorry u are going through this ~Pam
