novam vitam 117 Posted January 18, 2013 Ok I am pre-op but experienced massive (or so it seemed) a while ago and tried this stuff I found on-line called "hair essentials" out of desperation and the reviews on their website..... That stuff actually worked! I started seeing little sprouts in about 2 weeks and way less in the sink. 3 things... It grew in gray.... It stops working when you stop taking it and it's a little pricey. I don't sell it or receive anything for advertising, and I quit taking it because Im saving up for my sleeve but it's worth looking into and I plan in going back on it as soon as I have all my surgery money accounted for. EricaVSGJourney 64 Posted January 18, 2013 I'm about 8.5 months post-op.. I'm noticing lots an lots of baby hair growth. I started losing at 3-4 months at slightly alarming rates - mostly noticeable around my hairline. I already have thin hair but lots of it, if that makes sense. Loss slowed around 6 months, and now the baby hairs are about 1-1.5 inches, and numerous enough to see them "sticking out". My hair is pretty long, and I've been growing it out for years, so I refuse to cut it off. Been taking 10,000 mmg of Biotin daily, plus high potency Multi, 2 Omega 3-6-9 supplements, and Calcium Also always been very on top of Protein. A "bad day" is 60-70 grams. Usually around 80-100. Not sure where I am now... Bottom line.. Hang in there! If your experience is anything like mine, it will turn around pretty quickly
920amy 409 Posted January 18, 2013 I am about 2 1/2 months out, and have started seeing more and more going down the drain, in my brush, and on the floor. I am getting it chopped tomorrow morning! I am excited! I will have 14 inches to donate! I'm doing it while I still have enough for someone to benefit from, and if it falls out after it's cut off I don't think I'll care much. I knew this would probably happen, so before I even got the surgery, I said when it starts to go, it's all gonna go! Besides, new hair for a new body? Heck, yeah!
