I came from Detroit, Mi & mine were $420. That airport is just HIGH blood all the time. Someone said Jet Blue was cheap ...

If you go to Kayak.com you can search several different websites at once. Makes the process a little easier.

I will say, when traveling international, look carefully at Priceline, orbitz, and other discount sources CAREFULLY. if something happens and you are there an extra day, they will not cover refunds or exchange your flights, in most cases.

I searched and actually went through the airline company itself, and since they try to stay competitive with these discount companies, were actually 77 dollars cheaper. (And if you miss your flight for some reason, super easy to fix)

I just got back yesterday and had no problems with needing to change anything, and most people do not need to make changes, but just wanted to give you a heads up - just in case.

Hope this helps.

Yes, I always check with the booking agencies, but often certain airlines aren't listed with them or it's a PITA to make changes. I booked directly with Aeroflot on my last international flight and got a ridiculously low fare..

Round trip for two from Columbus, Ohio to San Diego thru Southwestern was $659.20. Booked it a month in advance though...

Nice to see someone from my hometown here. I saw a ticket for $386.00 on cheaptickets.com. When was/is your surgery?

Also try booking one way there. One way back rather than round trip. My mom and I saved.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
