strangercat 0 Posted November 6, 2006 Hi Everyone! I am scheduled for my banding tomorrow at 2:30 by Dr.Ren at NYU Medical. I Have to say that I am nervous and excited at the same time. I feel more nervous than excited most of the time. Did anyone ever feel overwhelmed right before the surgery? I would love and appreciate anyones story on how they felt just 24 hrs before surgery - and how they felt (mentally) afterwards... Many Thanks! FullofGRACE 0 Posted November 6, 2006 I don't have any words of widsom I am Friday and am feeling the same way far more anxious than worried...I guess maybe look at before and after pictures then visualize yourself ... I think I also plan to make a list of the things I want that I haven't been able to have...crossing legs, riding rollercoasters, etc..God be with you
Iluvharleys 15 Posted November 6, 2006 It's only normal to feel all the excitment, nervous, scared etc. that you are going through. Good Luck and let us hear how it goes when you can.
mypov 0 Posted November 6, 2006 Strangercat- By the time you read this you will probably be out of surgery! I hope all went well, and now you can update US on how you got through the jitters!!! I KNOW I will probably be freaking out the day before surgery--- getting last minutes things done and just taking one step at a time rather than thinking about the actual BIG event usually helps me stay calm, as well as helps me make sure I keep a level head and not forgetting important things. Also, to anyone else feeling like this- I'm planning on making a list of all the reasons that I am doing this and keeping it nearby for after surgery when I have pain or struggling with head hunger etc. Maybe that would help you too... LEt us know how it went!!!
